Meet the Aussie Bloke

The Story

Hi, my name is Dylan Whan. Former professional poker player and currently a writer, part-time amateur philosopher, lover of books, and semi-professional athlete. After leaving my University studies behind to follow my dream of playing poker professionally I stumbled upon a traditional Buddhist meditation technique called Vipassana. This practice has benefited my life in so many ways, it provided me with a desire to share joy, insight, and laughter to anyone willing to listen. Most importantly it has given me the focus and clarity to overcome many obstacles in my own life. Since the meditation retreat, I have found a passion for writing and video creation. This has allowed me to express my thoughts and ideas creatively on a platform that people can access from across the globe. All of these elements brought me to start Get Woke with an Aussie Bloke.
